Live in Puppetron
Beck never disappoints, although the venue Wiltern does. I wish I had original pictures to show but the bastard bodyguard kept on grabbing my arm and yelling "NOOOOO" everytime I flipped out my cam. BOOO to Wiltern, WOOT WOOOT for these:
Aside from the obvious, some of the highlights from Tuesday night's show included:
1) the utensil-driven percussion on "Clap Hands". While the band tapped away at the dinner table, the Puppet band drummed and literally shook their own table with miniature forks/knives, cups, and plates of salad.
2) dancer slash maracas-shaker slash xylophone-player slash tambourine-banger RYAN
3) opener Jamie Lidell had a paper cut-out version of his own puppet that looked a little bit like this:
4) those big to Bigger to HUGE boomboxes during "Where It's At"
5) bat key chains
6) a video of all the puppets cruising around LA (including Dodger Stadium, Pink's, Millie's Coffee Shop, and Frederick's of Hollywood)
7) Bear suits
8) Beck and his pompadour hair
